What we do
As a talent management agency, we find our clients paid media work such as TV appearances, publishing deals, social media campaigns, keynote talks, brand endorsements and live demonstrations.
DML Talent specialises in three main areas: television, books and social media. Our talent agents have built up excellent contacts within these industries, based on years of successful partnerships and effective networking. We work towards building our clients’ platforms through high-quality, carefully curated exposure and we’re always on hand to support our clients every step of the way.
Our clients and partners
During our 27 years of business, DML Talent has managed some of the biggest names in media. We represent presenters, experts and influencers in a wide range of genres, including food, gardening, DIY, fashion, health, science and design. We pride ourselves in finding the right opportunities to best showcase our clients’ expertise – whether that’s social media branded partnerships, TV appearances, writing their first (or their tenth!) bestselling book or a prestigious keynote talk.
DML Talent has also worked with an extensive variety of high-profile brand partners, including Waitrose, Panasonic, British Airways, Holland and Barrett, The Chelsea Flower Show and IKEA. Our clients have appeared on TV shows that are both household names and winners of numerous awards, such as Strictly Come Dancing, Great British Menu, DIY SOS, Countryfile, This Morning, The Great British Bake Off and Saturday Kitchen.
What sets us apart from other talent agencies
When Borra Garson founded DML Talent, she left behind a huge talent agency with hundreds of clients in order to start something more boutique. She began with just a small list of clients, including the late great celebrity chef and TV personality Gary Rhodes. Borra wanted to offer a more hands-on, personal management style, where she could bring a bespoke service to each client, a style of representation that is still followed today.
Today, DML Talent’s strategy of long-term thinking is the key to their success. Thanks to the carefully curated talent list, the team is able to offer more care, research, strategy and support than many celebrity agents. And most importantly, DML are proactive in working towards longevity for their clients’ media careers.
In an ever-changing media industry, DML are always looking for new ways to diversify. They have their finger on the pulse of new social media platforms, streaming services, and publishing trends, and are able to adapt with a progressive approach.
The DML Talent team
Borra Garson, Founder
Borra solidified her reputation as a talent manager in the celebrity chef world early in her career – some of her first clients included Gary Rhodes, Paul Hollywood and Jamie Oliver, celebrity chefs UK households are all familiar with. Borra leads DML’s publishing arm and continues to work with numerous famous chefs and Michelin star holders – including Ollie Dabbous (head chef of Hide and Dabbous), Sat Bains and the unstoppable Tom Kerridge.
Jan Croxson, Director of Talent
During Jan’s 25 years in the entertainment industry, she has been the driving force behind some of the UK’s most respected agencies. Jan has a well-known track record of star spotting – prior to working for DML, she discovered creative talent such as Davina McCall, Vernon Kay and Dermot O’Leary. More recently, she brought Hamza Yassin onto Strictly Come Dancing 2022 – which he went on to win.
Louise Leftwich, Talent Agent
Lou is an expert at finding fresh talent through social media platforms, helping them to expand into other media such as books, TV and brand endorsement. She specialises in publishing, working closely with those who have an interest in writing books, and assisting with the creative process. Lou started out in musical theatre, where she worked in casting and working with actors before finding her media calling at DML.
Megan Page, Assistant Agent
Megan joined DML in 2019, and has quickly become a vital member of the team. She is an expert at market research and investigating trends, finding new talent through both traditional and social media.
